▪  It’s a common sign during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester.

▪  The possible causes include

Constipation

Your growing baby also puts pressure on the large veins behind your uterus which results in hemorrhoids.

Hemorrhoids usually disappear soon after your baby is born.

Tips and tricks

▪   Apply an ice pack for 10 minutes up to four times a day to bring down swelling.

▪ Unscented, non-alcohol-wet wipes can be used if toilet paper is uncomfortable.

▪ Check with your doctor about taking an over-the-counter pain reliever or a stool softener. The doctor may even suggest using hemorrhoid cream to ease the pain.
